How This Works

This is how we work:
We collect volunteering information from organizations and institutions we hope to partner with over time and ask them to share about one-time, ongoing, or recurrent volunteering opportunities. The information is shared on this website.

You, the traveler, can look it up, and respond as suggested in the post.
It is likely that you will hear of the same/similar opportunity through word-of-mouth on the street. There is no conflict, the information on this website is only additional to what you hear informally.

We help the traveler find that info, and we help the advertiser (as we will call them for now) define their need. All information is published by agreement and understanding.

Typical Volunteering requests are from schools, hospitals, women’s organizations.

In addition to strictly volunteering opportunities, we will also share:
— Ideas on what you can do with your time as an idle traveler when you are not trekking or touring

— courses and classes and teaching opportunities by the community through formal or informal opportunities. Formal opportunities are, for example, cooking classes. Informal opportunities are, for instance, a farmer expecting a calf to give
a birth that you can witness, or watering a field or grafting/planting trees, or studying land erosion, etc.

— We will also post ads from travelers themselves who are looking for study/ work/ trekking
and travel partners. We believe that by helping tourists and travelers, we help everyone,
including our community.

— Traveler research/ study/ work info and updates by arrangement with such travelers.

We understand that some travelers and community members strictly demand a traveler-community segregation, or are not inclined to interact. Therefore, we will keep in mind not to push anyone in and out of this!
