This website is our effort to organize the offers, needs and wishes that arise in locals, persons and organizations, on which they seek voluntary assistance from the learned, creative, world-savvy travelers who come to Hunza valley.

This is all ‘in the gift’, which means that generally payments are not made or received, except in cases where it is more appropriate to do so. Gifts, where appropriate, are given and accepted. Volunteers are compensated through non-financial means such as subsidizing of their needs. And, where appropriate to do so, payments are exchanged such as when a host might want to compensate for the food of the volunteer, or the volunteer may gift something to their host facility including making a donation to them.
Whatever the arrangement is, you will be informed upfront, and you are encouraged to discuss your offers and needs. The nature of the relationship often transforms during work, so go with the flow. This website is the start of the relationship.
